For what it's worth, as for your tire sizing, you should be fine with 265/65/17s bone stock (taking into account what previous poster mentioned about aggressive tread blocks). I'm currently running 285/40/22s on my Trailblazer with no issues. I did have 1.5" spacers, but just recently took them...

That may help, actually. Because 40mm (the difference between your tire width and mine) equals 1.574 inches, roughly the same width of my spacers...hmm:undecided:... have you ever run into any issues with your tires making contact with that part?
