my son's truck started running bad and posted a p0305, had a spare coil pack so I replaced it... having read many of the posts on this site regarding issues like this... was an easy fix.

thought I should follow back up on this, the issue turned out to be a cracked high pressure line, it goes from one end of the rack into the other end of the rack, it is not for sale, however my mechanic managed to get his supplier to let him rob one off a new unit and send back the bad one. ps...

So... 2 metal springs later and the truck rides better than with the air springs... so is there a market for 2 month old air springs?

that is a thought but since I could not get them to even try to air up the truck by moving them... did not know if that would work. Thanks for the reply.

New ?? any chance anyone knows the amount of a resistor to use to fool the system ? I have to assume that the sensors put out a resistance depending on where the suspension is riding... if so it should be possible to connect a resister across the pins to make the system think the truck is always...

so after replacing the bags on my sons 02 envoy... 3 mon later the sensor arm broke off and it stayed down... took him a week to tell me so by now I am looking at sensors for $75 each and then the possibity that the pump will die as soon as I get it all working again... soooo... going to metal...

Thanks for the reply ... 1 more ?? can they be replaced with the truck on jack stands or ramps? Also do those lines have to be disconnected when the engine is replaced?

I know this thread is specific to the leak caused by corrosion over the wheel well, but has anyone had leaks where the 2 lines go into possible the rack? I will probably need to crawl under mine and take pics to show what I am talking about but I thought I would ask.

Thanks for the replies, we have only owned the truck for 3 years and have never touched the hoses, but that does not mean they have not been replaced before. Is there any way to tell by looking at them? Alldata says I need a special removal tool for the older cup type, however I read on 1 site...

2002 envoy, when turning the wheel left and right, fuid sprays out the triangular block where the 2 lines go into the rack. I did a searc but did not find any posts describing leaks like mine. My question is, has anyone tried just replacing the 2 o-ring seals (item 11 and 13)in the steering...
