Post A Pic Of Your GMT RIGHT NOW!!!

Welll...... :undecided: nah, I'm sure you wouldn't want to deal with the rust underneath, etc  And up here, I'd be lost a couple days of the year at least, without 4X4

2006 trailblazer ls front wheel bearing concern

Thanks to all who replied!!! The tips and advice are helping me enjoy this Trailblazer even more. Just like any relationship, can't love it unless you give it a couple raps with a hammer every now and then  to keep it workin' right. The driver's side bearing hub was...

What did you do to your GMT today?

Got the driver's side hub replaced! Sounds and feels great. Just drained the transfer case. That looked like new. oops... forgot lock-tight on the front caliper mount bolts, crap.... oh well. will do that tonight too, so I can drive her tomorrow. Haven't tried the rear diff fill plug yet...

What did you do to your GMT today?

WOW! is about all I can muster out. The transfer case bolts broke open pretty easily. I didn't even need a breaker bar. Now on to that rear differential fill plug if I can find the tool that fits snugly. I'm a bit afraid of damaging the square with the sloppily fitting 3/8" drive... *fingers...

Rear differential fill plug '06 TB

Hi! Okay, my TB is an '06 and doesn't have a drain plug on the back cover. I found the 3/8" square holed rear diff fill plug on the passenger side. What is the correct tool for removing this plug? I placed a 3/8" drive on there and it feels a bit too sloppy and I'm afraid of damaging and not...

    Most driven Trailblazer or Envoy

I'm wondering, for those who've been TB/Envoy enthusiasts for any length of time, what is the highest odometer mileage you've seen on a 'still in use' Trailblazer or Envoy? Assuming the vehicle isn't being driven hard, is there an 'average' life expectancy (mileage one will go) for the engine...

What did you do to your GMT today?

Two other quick q's. What's the correct torque ft. pounds for the wheel hub nut? And, in the video for the transfer case fluid change, I didn't see you use anything on the bolts before you put them back in. Seems I heard that it says to in the service manual, but that it isn't necessary for...

What did you do to your GMT today?

I had the TB up on stands as well as a huge stump of wood, I don't trust anything, and found the bolts. Managed to sneak the two short extensions I had in front of me on a 3/8" ratchet with the 18mm six side socket. Just barely had enough clearance. I actually ended up using my trailer hitch...

What did you do to your GMT today?

Spent the day checking the vids from MAY03LT  for various procedures for the Trailblazer and checked under my '06 TB to get ready to pull the drivers side wheel bearing hub assembly and replace it tomorrow. My main concern with the wheel hub assembly is getting it loose from the drive...

2006 trailblazer ls front wheel bearing concern

Makes sense, roadie.... Hmmm... now the questions, maybe they should be in a new thread, are about the bearing options. I would be inclined to think that price is indicative of quality for the wheel bearing hub assemblies I have seen offered. Are the cheaper bearings, such as those available...

2006 trailblazer ls front wheel bearing concern

Thanks. Yeah, for me there's not a way to know with 100% certainty, which bearing is bad. But based on what I've been reading, what I hear and feel tells me a wheel bearing or bearing of some kind. Had the vehicle on stands and spun the wheels. Felt the springs, didn't seem to be an issue on the...
