Huge thanks to URI! Mounts on both sides of my Envoy XUV had failed completely and had to be replaced and this procedure gave me the confidence to do it myself. What a transformation in the vehicle!

Yes, I have a 2004 Envoy XUV. I checked GMPartsDirect and they seem to have a very limited number of parts for the XUV these days. I thought this site would be a good start for a search for a replacement seal. If I have to, I'll go to the dealership, but I usually make that my last stop. Chris

I've got exactly the same problem. I've ordered a replacement mirror from EBay, and I'll see if the ring of plastic fingers is replaceable. I'd like to keep my original mirror since I've got my radar detector wired into it, so I'll swap them if I can.

Can someone help me understand what I have? I have a 2004 Envoy XUV with 4WD. I was under the impression that the front differential turns all the time - meaning there are no wheel locks or disconnects. Is that true? Thanks! Chris

I've got an Innova 3100 scan tool I bought about 6 years ago that does a fine job of reading and erasing codes. However, I see others talking about being able to read engine temp, O2 levels, fuel biasing, etc. and other things that I can't read. So, maybe I need to upgrade to a newer scanner...
