3.6 traverse hard to start after getting gas

It starts normally except when I take the gas cap off to get gas. It acts like flooding. I have to push the accelerator pedal to the floor. I have to keep the rpm’s up or it will die again. At take off, it is pedal sensitive…fast. Then it settles down till I get gas again. If I leave it...

NEED HELP ABS, Seatbelt lights on

04 Envoy BTW. no codes are showing and brakes and belts work normally. I have to believe that there is something in the dash lamp circuit , in between the bcm and lamp that may be pinched or oxidized. Just don’t know what connectors or grounds are involved Or where they are.

NEED HELP ABS, Seatbelt lights on

Found a bad wheel sensor. Being winter, I had the shop that does my Corvette work replace it. Functionally, the brakes and abs work like it’s supposed to. He says that the body computer gets all of the signals it needs but the abs and belt lights are on, due to a short or open somewhere in...

NEED HELP Play in steering wheel (new tie rods, ball joints, struts, arms)

Solved: I didn't notice that I was losing PS fluid. I added some, checked the next day and it needed more. Seems that the PS cooler was rusting out and leaking fluid. Replaced it and filled back up and there isn't any play anymore. Who'da Thunk It?

NEED HELP Play in steering wheel (new tie rods, ball joints, struts, arms)

Similarly, I had the tie rod ends done this spring. With the nice weather I have been driving my Corvette. Rainy day comes so I drive the Envoy. 50-70MPH, the wheel does a slight shimmy over road seams. Just 3 or 4 mild shimmies. With load left or right, no shimmy. At 230K miles, should I...

    Rear brake Backing Plate

Looking for an easy way to replace the backing plate. Old ones rusted away. Any suggestions?

    SOLVED! Envoy gear shift

Shift Cable 🙈 I was in denial. It seemed easier to replace the cable first before delving into the Xmission. Found the sheath rusted through at the floor just above the boot under the floor mat. It allowed just enough movement to make the shifter sloppy or rubbery ie not positive. Thanks for...

    SOLVED! Envoy gear shift

The cable is operating the shifter and lever on the transmission in a positive manner, no slop there. Apparently it is a problem inside the transmission. Anyone have experience here? Is it an easy fix or do I need a rebuild? The tranny shifts and works fine except for this. 04 with 230k

    SOLVED! Envoy gear shift

Rubbery: coming down from park, it seems that The inner cable is fully extended out of the sheath and the cable is bending before going back into the sheath as I go towards first. I can move the lever an inch or so without a positive feel. Going back towards park, it seems that I am now...

    SOLVED! Envoy gear shift

Shift lever is rubbery coming out of park towards 1. Going back up is solid. Sounds like a cable anchor. Any experience with this?

NEED HELP ABS, Seatbelt lights on

I too believe that it's a ground. Any suggestions as to which one it is?
