My keyless entry is acting strange. When walking to the side of my truck, i have to be almost all the way on it for it to work right. If im approaching it from the front, then it works from a further distance. What can i do to make it work from a greater distance?

My best recommendation is to change the battery in the remote FOB. Should only cost a few bucks to give it a shot.
Battery type: CR2032
Insert a quarter (not a knife) into the side of the unit to pry it apart.
Battery type might be different depending on your truck. If you fill in you profile it will help everyone

But if that doesn't work, your Lift Gate Module may be failing or you have the classic frayed wiring...it controls the remote lock/unlock.
