Ok so the battery went dead in my 04 Trailblazer and after jumping the battery I noticed the aftermarket stereo was not coming on. The stereo is a Pioneer AVH-P1400 with an Axxess GMOS harness. After pulling the fuse and putting it back in all was well until the second time the battery went dead. We jumped it, radio dead, pulled fuse. radio worked, but then after turning off the truck and opening the doors the radio was still on. Now I have to pull the fuse to shut off the radio. Any ideas what could be causing this to happen?

You killed the harness module, it happens with jumps like that the power spike is what does it, if its a non bose non onstar get the LC-GMRC-01, we sell that harness for 60$ Plus tax, not sure around your area though

Thank you so much! That is what I thought but was hoping it wasn't since I havent even had it in a year :( I do not have bose. I do have onStar, but pulled the fuse for that and do not use it, so could I still get the LC-GMRC-01 harness?

Thank you so much. I posted on trailvoy.com and it has been on there for 2 weeks and 50+ people viewed it but not one person replied. It was on here for like 10 minutes and you solved my problem! :wootwoot:

Funny thing about when you have an active community. Back there, since we all left in protest, it's just crickets. No moderators at all, and I bet 45 of your 50 views were spammers who now roam around unmolested. Since 100% of the trailvoy volunteer admins and mods moved here in Dec 2011, the new owners haven't found the need or the talent to promote a single new staffer.

Ok guys I seem to have another issue and I don't really think it is related to the radio, but I'm going to ask you experts :) The fuse is out of the radio slot and when I went out to start my truck this morning it was dead as a door nail and now the key will not come out of the ignition. I just bought a brand new battery 4 days ago. Do you know what might be causing this to happen? I would have posted somewhere else on the site, but not sure where to post.

I have a GMRC-01 for sell if you want to buy it just PM me. I'm not sure if its the same as an LC-GMRC-01 tho. but it is for a non bose non onstar.

Dead battery will lock the key in the ignition (I still don't know why they have it do that...)

What battery out of curiosity?

When you said, "The fuse is out of the radio slot," what do you mean? You have the radio fuse removed from the fuse box, or it blew, or?

Just wanting to clarify so we can narrow it down.
