Hi all. Last February I was getting a p1345 code. I replaced the cpas with a GM-part #12615873. Now the code is back. I am looking for some guidance on how to proceed.
This is my wife's daily driver. 166k. I am usually on top of the maintenance, but I did go 5k in between oil changes recently. The p1345 came on right around 5k on the oil, so I got the oil changed and the code came back. Using 5w30 regular oil (not synthetic). I cleared the code 3 days ago.
Today my wife started the car. It was cold (36 degrees) She said it started, then immediately stalled. As it was stalling she noticed the "low oil pressure stop engine" light was on for a second. She then restarted the car and had no issues. I did replace the oil pressure switch last year. After driving the car for about 5 minutes she said the check engine light came back on. I read the codes tonight and the p1345 is back on. She also said the oil pressure gauge went to 80 while she was driving. She said that lasted for the 15 minute round trip to drop my daughter off at school this morning. It did not do that anymore after that.
I just took it for a ride and there were no issues.
I read that doing an Amsoil engine flush can help if there is a sludge issue.
I also would like info on the wiring for the CPAS--could this be causing the p1345? is there a replacement harness available?
thanks.
