I don't know what's going on so here it is...
I turn my key to the start position and the only two lights that come on are the security light and another one. No cel, no abs, no tpms, no seat belt nothing. The background light work and all the gauges but tach work. But I my 4wd indicator light is gone and my drl light doesn't come on when I turn them off or the fog lights either. Radio works and I am at end wits with this. I don't have access to a tech 2 and really don't want to go to the dealership. Anyone had this going on? Is it the bcm, instrument cluster, light switch????

Does it start and run?

Most common thing when having weird electrical gremlins is the ignition switch. And it is a cheap enough part that it isn't too costly to just throw at the problem.

Yea it starts and runs fine. That is what's got me. And the a/c has quit working also I forgot to mention that in the op

Ignition switch is a good start and cheap to replace. Any possibility of finding another cluster either from a friend with a GMT360 or at a pick-a-part? Quick swap and see if it is indeed the cluster or something else.

Just a random thought. Have you disconnected the battery for awhile and seen if that reset something. Just seems odd and that would be free easy thing to try.

I too would start with the ignition switch to rule it out go from there.

Fuse 22 "IGN E" in the under-hood fuse block powers part of the cluster, the A/C relay coil and the headlamp switch. Doesn't explain your exact symptoms (like why the security light would still come on) but worth a check--replace it or swap with another same-size fuse.

Other possibilities would be bad grounds, particularly G102 (on the fender next to the under-hood fuse block), or G201 (ground splice pack under the steering column) near the big harness block connector.

Finally, it is possible that your cluster has failed and the other issues you're noting are coincidental (as opposed to trying to find a single failure point) but only more testing will tell. So if none of the above works test everything electrical (lights, turn signals, wipers, HVAC, doors, 4wd switch, etc...) and note what does and doesn't work. All the subsystems are interconnected in unexpected ways: common grounds, fuses, splices, the databus, etc. The cluster has 3 different circuits providing power for example, the indicator lights on the transfer case switch are controlled by the TCCM, not the switch itself, the cluster background lights are an entirely separate circuit from the rest of the cluster, etc.

Well crud.

Start checking every fuse, I guess. I've never had the pleasure of working with any major electrical gremlins before, so I'm a bit useless when it comes to further diagnostics I guess, haven't never been there or dug into it before.

I had a similar issue with the dash when my battery was bad when it wouldn't take a charge but yours seems good. Maybe get it tested just to eliminate that. Beyond that, check fuses and grounds.

I checked the grounds he mentioned and the one under the center console. Have pulled and checked every fuse. I am ready to give up but I love my truck

Have you tried replacing the gauge panel? If you have a pick-a-part, shouldn't be too expensive. At the same time, pick up an HVAC panel if it's the digital type. Make sure it's from a similar truck.

Haven't made it to the pull a part yet. But everything worked fine today. The turn signals is what gets me. I use them unlike most of Memphis lol

Honestly, I don't know but I'm guessing they didn't change much in all years.

Scratch that. I can think of one thing that changed, starting in '06, traction control and Stabilitrak and their light in the dash.

When I changed my gauge cluster it fixed an intermittent no crank and power locks/windows issue that I was sure was a bad ignition switch. I know it's theoretically not possible but it turned out to be the case.

It is quite possible if the cluster is FU'd and messing up the data bus.

Anything that screws with the data bus can cause issues, when my TCCM went bad in my 02 it would randomly cause my radio to turn off and not power back up until I shut the truck down.
