Ideas for how to fix my front center console mount?

New (to me) Envoy, so I'm not sure how this happened exactly. The mount under the front cup holder is broken, as seen in the picture attached, so the whole thing is really loose. You can see how it sheared along the edge all the way around the bolt recess (in the picture I am lifting the console up slightly to show the gap). Every other part of the console is great, so I really don't want to replace the whole thing. Has anyone had this issue, or know of an easy fix?

I was thinking of a flat piece of metal across the bottom with a longer bolt running to the existing hole, effectively holding down the entire cup holder (if that makes any sense), but I'd love to hear some ideas!

Thanks guys, love the forum!

:iagree: JB Weld is one of the most popular epoxies out there. Very good stuff.

I like your thinking with a circle of heavy gauge body metal. I would add a bed of liquid resin and then a longer screw. Just remember it will take away from the depth of the holder.

Just to follow up, I used PlasticWeld and it seems to be holding really well. Thanks, guys!
I was going to suggest this as opposed to jb weld. Not sure how the jb weld stuff works...if its just more of an epoxy or not. The plastic weld stuff I have used in the past kind of "melds" the pieces back together and has a nice bond.

I've actually used it to fix the broken ears off my headlight housings, since I assume the previous owner didn't want to take the time to remove the bumper to replace the headlights or just didn't know any better. Still seem to be holding up fine. :)

I've used the plastic weld putty on my old projector retrofit, and it was really sturdy. It was easy to remove with a pick tool though. When my center console lid fractured into a handful of pieces, I used JB ClearWeld on it, since it was advertised to be stronger than the standard black version. It's a 2 part epoxy, just like the standard version, and has held up great over several months of being leaned on.
