Hi guys,

When I drive on a road that is, for example, made out of cobble stones, there is this irritating rattle on top of the dash. It is located somewhere in the front half of the top side, where the speakers are situated and where the dash meets the windshield. It sounds like something either has broken off, or came loose. When I press on the dash part, it stops. When I tap it, it rattles even more.

Is there a way to get this part of the dash of without having to remove the front half of it. I read that that part is a real pain to get out of the way.

And, has anybody ha the same rattle and an you tell me what it was?

Thanks in advance!

You should be able to get that front piece of the dash out...where the speakers and vents for the front defroster are. It should just unclip like most of the other trim. If the rattle is not in that area the whole thing will have to come out.

Yep, the top cover pries up without any screw fasteners.

I had the same issue once, turned out to be the tweeters came loose and sometimes rattled on the windshield.

Ah, that is quite a relief, no screws holding it tight.

Can I just start by prying it in the left or right corner, or is there a trick?

Thanks so far!

heheheh, thing is, if I break something, I can not go to a junk yard and get me another....In Europe these cars are kinda scarce.....
