OK so I have had HIDS for about 6 years now, When i bought my TB they were already installed and i never even bothered looking at them, they worked. No DRLs, autoheadlights worked, they flahsed when locking and unlocking the truck. I had a bulb go out the other day so I ordered two new Morimoto XB35 9006 bulbs thinking it would just be plug and play..... I couldnt be more wrong.

When i took the battery off and took the bulb out nothing plugs into the new bulbs its completely different. there is wiring everywhere!! even the parking bulbs have a red wire tapped into it. There are plugs and wires that arent being used just sitting in there and I have no clue what do to!

I tried to just buy regular 9006 bulbs and use the stock plug in the headlight which wasnt being used and it doesnt even turn that on.

HELP anyone know how they wired this?? or what i need to do? does it sounds like an old way guys used to wire HIDS this was done back in 2005

Do the connections on the morimoto bulbs match the connections on the bulb that burnt out? The new bulbs need to get plugged into the HID ballast, that's the quick and dirty version. All of the other stuff is probably just relay harnesses, while important to know what goes where, and how they function, isn't critical in what you're trying to do at the moment.

If the socket in the headlight isn't even turning a stock bulb on, I would check the fuse in the front fuse block for that side, to make sure it's not blown. (the other side still lights up though right?) :undecided: Does the side that was still working have a vacant 9006 connector inside the headlight too? If it does, I'm guessing that's how they achieved the DRL kill function. Not to use the 9006 signals at all, and tap into the parking light for the 'auto' feature, by triggering your relay harness with that red wire.

As stated, without pics of what's going on, all we can do is speculate. So if you could post some, that would be a huge help.
