Why hello there.

Just thought I'd pop in and say hello. I registered here a while back before I made my decision to buy my sisters Trailblazer. I've been lurking around for the last 2 months trying to read up on common issues and what not. It's a 2005 with 215,000 miles on it and the hood and right front fender need to be repainted but for $1,500 it's worth it to be able to put my GTO under it's cover and let it go sleep after DD'ing it for 5 years. It drives fine and other than poor fuel mileage (trying to track down the cause, no check engine lights or noticeable issues) it runs great. Looking forward to benefitting from others experience to I might not have to struggle as much.

Welcome to the nation!

I highly recommend to start with cleaning the throttle body.

That is on the list for sure. From reading that seems to come up a ton.

Welcome aboard!

Welcome to the Nation!

Since you purchased from your sister, I hope she has the maintenance records; at least to tell you if not to show you.

TB cleaning, yup!
Diffs every 100K miles
TC every 50K miles
Plugs every 100K miles (I think)

Several other items of interest, but the Transfer Case seems to be a real stickler on these.

Enjoy the fun!

Edit: I lost my maintenance list when the computer crashed, and CRS is catching up to me (CRS= can't remember shit).

Welcome to the site, neighbor! I'm just a half hour up 77, in Mooresville. You have a GTO too? I see your avatar
