Wife drives 2005 Rainier, yesterday after work battery dead , jumped and drove home. In garage she said something running, turns out SAIS pump kicks on for a couple seconds n stops . This repeats every 30 seconds or so with car off, key out. Had to pull #56 fuse [60 amp.] out to stop this. SAIS has been repaired 3 times in 3 years, 2 new pumps, solenoid and connectors at pump, and check valve twice.Left fuse out
today for her to drive to and from work ,will check when she gets home and see what happens . Any ideas or help will be greatly appreciated.

What I would try is to swap the relay under the hood for the AIR pump. It doesn't sound like a relay issue, more like a contact issue with the pump but I could be wrong. If the relay doesn't do anything, try to get a look at the connectors and see if they are rusty/corroded.

I believe the pump itself has a large relay that's separate from the underhood fuse panel, it's on the wiring on the way down to the pump proper. The relay may indeed be the issue if it's partially melted or fused or something.

Good call, I forgot about the big relay down there. Double check the relays under the hood and next to the pump.
