Been a while since I updated this thread, don't know if anyone is even going to look at it. As it stands, I ordered the PCM and - that wasn't the problem. It's in a wire, somewhere, between the front and the back. Has something to do with the actuators for the pressure in the gas tank, mechanic is getting some strange readings on it. The check filler cap message comes on, same time every day, although lately it hasn't happened. Still have a $450 PCM/paperweight now that is tuned for better mileage and for 87 octane. Want to find out what is going on before I decide whether I'm going to install it or not. Have other issues with the &^%&*(%X##% truck involving the passenger headlight...
