I have a 2003 trailblazer ext. just curious, on my windshield next to my rear view mirror on the right side at the top of the window there is a black box with a wire going under the headliner. what is that? i was thinking rain sense wipers but i dont have that option.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

Some aftermarket audio gear, I'd guess, like a Bluetooth mike. Do you have an aftermarket head unit? If so, what model? Factory rain sense wiper sensor is a round patch just to the driver's side of the windshield up there.

Could also be an aftermarket alarm or remote start antenna (unless there is a pic i cant see)

Maybe a gps locator or an xm/sirius aftermarket antenna?

I'm with you. Looks like mini coax which i think is used for either of those 2 things.

The coax cable definitely points to a remote antenna for....something.

I say its stock, I have one too

finance company lojack?

The onstar unit under the right rear seat has 2 coax cables so I'd say one cable goes to the antenna on the left rear glass and the other cable goes to your picture.

That's possible, this would have been an analog onstar unit, which would explain why i don't have it.
